We’re 3 days away from the 2019 Rental Show! On February 18, everything will be live in Anaheim. We are excited to display our latest products along with some updated classics. Once the show begins it can be challenging to see everything in our booth. In an attempt to highlight our newest and most popular products, we’ve put together a blog post. The hope is that you will find products that make your rental store more profitable and more efficient.
Who is Granite Industries?
Granite Industries Inc. is a manufacturing company founded in 1997 by Steve Wyse. Steve propelled Granite to the top of the scaffold industry with 43 years of scaffolding experience. We are headquartered in Ohio and have warehouses around the country. In addition to scaffold, Granite is a leader in staging, bleachers, fencing. and material handling products. Granite Industries has two primary material handling brands under its company umbrella; American Cart hand trucks and Overland Carts electric powered wheelbarrows. All three of these brands will be at the 2019 ARA Rental Show in the Granite Industries booth.
What’s the Rental Show?
The ARA Rental Show features some of the biggest and best brands in the rental industry. The attendees are generally owners or employees of rental stores within the United States and Canada. Granite Industries has attended the ARA Rental Show every year since we were founded in 1997. We love meeting the attendees and hearing feedback on our products. Each year we are more and more impressed with the experience of the show. This year the show is in Anaheim, for the first time in quite a while. Below are some basics to know about the show;

Granite Industries traditionally has a booth located in the Special Event section near General Tool. This year is no different; we are located in Booth 2901 in the Special Event section. What to expect to find in the Granite Industries booth?
We make sure to feature products from each category of our company. While we don’t have all of our products available from all of our lines, we have Granite experts on the floor who are able to make sure that you get the product that will work the best for your given application. There are many reasons to buy while at the show. Our best prices are available when the show is live from Monday to Wednesday. Buying at the show helps make sure your order is at the front of the line when the orders get entered once the show is over. Just come back to our booth during the drawing times to see if you win. You must be present to win and you’re name will remain until the last day.

What are the top 3 new products?
Granite Industries is continually innovating. We are always improving and developing new products. This years ARA Show will be no different. The top three new carts have a common theme: aluminum. Granite Industries has been growing it’s aluminum capabilities over the last couple years and the heavy duty extrusions have proven to stand up to rental use.
The Overland Aluminum Powered Hand Truck (PN: 70258)
The Aluminum Powered Cart is the latest in our ever developing line of material handling products. Last year we released the Transformer Powered Hand Truck and it was a major success. This year we putting a twist on that power cart by introducing a simpler aluminum version at a lower price point. The unit weighs about 40 pounds less than the Transformer while still offering the same 750 pound capacity. The battery pack is rechargeable and removable which makes swapping battery packs easy. The standard wheels feature 13″ single ag tires. These tires offer excellent versatility for both indoor and outdoor use. Each hand truck comes with a 10′ auto retracting strap to help secure loads. The extruded foot plate is 24″ x 9″. Flat free rear wheels greatly improve the stability and usability of the hand truck. All electric drive components are covered with a comprehensive 1 year warranty and the aluminum components are covered by a 3 year warranty.
The Block and Roll Manual Hand Truck (PN: 67450)
Granite Industries and B&R Innovations/Block and Roll are officially teamed up to revolutionize tent ballasting! First up is the brand new manual Block and Roll Cart. B&R Innovations and Granite Industries worked together to develop a cart specifically designed to haul cement tent ballasts. The Block and Roll cart is capable of hauling tent ballasts that weight up to 700 pounds. All of the load bearing wheels feature 10″ flat free tires. The rear swivel wheels allow for a zero turning radius. The unique fork design is patented and guaranteed to work with all B&R blocks. The Aluminum Hand Truck with Rear Wheels (PN: 67424)
This versatile four wheeled aluminum cart comes in 40% lighter than the comparable Multi Mover with Rear Wheels (67243). The 10″ wheels feature a flat free design and help to boost the capacity of the cart to 750 pounds. The footplate is 24″ x 9″ and is made from extruded aluminum. The rubber runners protect the cart and also the load. Each cart comes standard with an auto retracting 10″ strap. Built from the ground up for heavy duty applications this cart is ready for a wide variety of rental applications.
